NOVEMBER 13. 2009: BUTTON UP, NEW HAMPSHIRE

Clean Air-Cool Planet and the New England Carbon Challenge are proud to announce the pilot launch of Button Up NH, a highly successful home weatherization workshop pioneered in Vermont and now available in New Hampshire.

Button Up NH presenters will conduct nine free home weatherization workshops in regional hubs across the state this winter, including New London, Lebanon, Grafton, Plymouth, Sanbornton, Concord, Rye, Atkinson and Dover. Read more.

AUGUST 06, 2009: NHCC AWARDED GRANT FROM NH PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION

The New Hampshire Carbon Challenge has been awarded a two-year grant from the NH PUC and will partner with the New Hampshire Sustainable Energy Association to develop a new suite of web-based tools to help households make further reductions in their energy consumption. Read more.

APRIL 22, 2009: KEENE ANNOUNCED AS WINNER OF CARBON "THROWDOWN" WITH PORTSMOUTH

After a bruising 17 day battle, Keene municipal employees emerged victorious over Portsmouth in our East-West Carbon Throwdown. Over 2 million pounds of CO2 have been pledged to be reduced through actions that will save municipal employees in these two cities more than $200,000. Read the Press Highlights.

 

APRIL 22, 2009: CONCORD CARBON CHALLENGE KICKS OFF

Earth Day marked the start of the Concord Carbon Challenge, a competition among Concord's voting districts to see which district can have the most participants taking the NH Carbon Challenge. Press Coverage.

MARCH 25, 2009: NEW HAMPSHIRE CLIMATE ACTION PLAN RELEASED AND WE'RE IN IT

The State of New Hampshire released its Climate Action Plan, a blueprint for economic growth and emissions stabilization in our state. The NH Carbon Challenge is recommended in the plan as a means to reduce household energy consumption and costs. Read the Climate Action Plan.
